Today PFG turns ONE! Woot woot!!
Last August 24th, after only a few short weeks of planning, we took a leap of faith and sent out our very first orders. We had just five customers that week and sales barley broke $600. Fast forward to this August 24th: we now sell to over 120 florists. We’ve moved 156,795 stems of flowers and foliage from farms to designers in just one short year. And all of those stems were grown within a 35 mile radius of Philadelphia!
We can’t thank you enough for all the support you’ve given us as we blossomed. We’ve been delighted and humbled by the rapid growth PFG has experienced. We adore your fervor for local flowers! Simply amazing! So many plans for Year 2!
Last August, at the start, we had just three farms selling together through PFG. Today we’re very excited to announce we’re now adding a sixth farm to our little flower-filled partnership! Join us in welcoming Pinewood & Posies to PFG! Sylvia and David Glick farm 10 acres in Paradise PA. They started growing and selling flowers in 2007 and now specialize in dahlias, zinnias, celosia, dusty miller, willow, and winterberry, among other crops.
We are really excited to keep growing and bring you even more beautiful and unique locally-grown stems as we enter our second year! Cheers!
