PART-TIME SEASONAL FLOWER DELIVERY DRIVERS
Objective:
An energetic, hard-working and thoughtful human who handles flower deliveries for flower farm collective distributing farm-grown flowers to florist. Position is seasonal and part-time in nature, beginning in April and ending in late November. Position is for approximately 8-9 hours a week on Wednesdays (position could be combined with another role for 16 hours a week if desired). Previous experience in a bustling, physical environment and an appreciation for being behind the wheel is very helpful. We look for people who are organized, personable, enthusiastic about the work, enjoy creative problem solving, and have a sense of humor and positivity.
Responsibilities:
– Packing floral orders carefully into the delivery minivan
– Assisting with mapping out the most efficient delivery route
– Driving carefully and safely to customers
– Accurately delivering the right orders to the right customers
– Unloading orders from the van at customer’s location
– Cheerfully interacting with customers (who are always happy to see flowers!)
– Cleaning the delivery van interior at the end of each shift
– Helping at the distribution hub with critical timely tasks if needed to ensure customer satisfaction
– Washing floral buckets with good cheer
Requirements:
– Must be comfortable driving a minivan regularly and a UHaul cargo van occasionally
– Must be able and willing to lift 40 lbs. regularly
– Must have a current driver’s license with a clean driving record
– Must possess effective and positive communication skills
– Must be goal-oriented and self-motivated in order to work independently on a regular basis
This position reports to our distribution hub in Roxborough, Philadelphia (zip 19128). Compensation starts at $15/hr. with performance goals set to increase compensation quickly for the right employee who shows dedication and thoughtfulness. Matching 401(k) available after three months of employment.

PART-TIME SEASONAL FLORAL DISTRIBUTION ASSOCIATES
OBJECTIVE:
An energetic and detail-oriented individual who assists with the weekly distribution of locally-grown flowers from several area farms. Must be able to work on Tuesday and Wednesdays. This position is seasonal in nature, beginning in early April and ending in late November. Previous experience in a bustling, physical environment and with flowers is very helpful. We look for people who are organized, personable, enthusiastic about the work, enjoy creative problem solving, can be on their feet all day, and have a sense of humor and positivity.
Responsibilities:
– Set up equipment for receiving incoming orders
– Receive deliveries from PFG farms, assessing quality and sorting bunches into customer buckets
– Organize customer order buckets in the coolers
– Track bucket counts and miscellaneous inventory for customers
– Wash many buckets with good cheer
– Sweep up, wipe down surfaces, and re-set the Hub space at the end of the day
– Answer emails and text threads related to orders
– Manage orders in the Rooted Farmers platform
– Assist with whatever other duties are needed
Requirements:
– Must be detail-oriented and organized
– Must have some familiarity with flowers
– Must be able to pick up 40lbs repeatedly through the course of one shift
– Must have reliable transportation (the hub is not near any public transportation stops)
This position reports to the distribution hub in Roxborough, Philadelphia (zip 19128). Compensation starts at $18/hr. and may increase quickly for the right employee who shows dedication and an eagerness to take on more responsibility. Employees are eligible for a matching 401(k) plan after one month of employment.
