FAQs

Thank you for your interest in the Philadelphia Floral Guild! We’re delighted you stopped by! The following are the questions we hear most frequently about buying wholesale flowers in Philadelphia. If this doesn’t answer your question, please feel free to contact us!

In a nutshell, PFG is a farmer-owned wholesale floral distributer located in Philadelphia.  But we are so much more! Read about us over here.

PFG primarily serves floral professionals with wholesale accounts. At this time we are focusing on serving our immediate community of florists who call Philadelphia home. We are connecting with buyers who are located 60 miles or less from our hub in order to build our hyperlocal community first. In the future we plan to expand this circle once we have our systems fine tuned and more growers in the collective.

We also offer DIY flowers to retail customers on a limited basis.  Please read the next FAQ below for more details.

Yes! PFG offers DIY flowers to the general public that can be used for any type of party, including a wedding! Flowers must be pre-ordered through our website here.  We do NOT have a flower shop to browse at our location. All orders must be made in advance.

PFG uses the Rooted Farmers platform to host our live wholesale availability list so you can see and purchase in real time whenever it is convenient for you. Please click here to read full directions on how to shop with us.

PFG is a distribution hub and a virtual storefront.

The virtual storefront is open 24/7.

The distribution hubs are currently open Wednesdays from 9AM – 12PM.

Please note that hours are subject to change, particularly in the shoulder season (March/April and October/November) when product availability is limited.

Our online shop opens each week on Tuesdays at 7PM for orders for the following week.  Order cut-off each week is at 4PM on Mondays.

We post our availability week by week so that we can ensure we’ll get your order filled accurately. We do not take orders more than 8 days in advance of pick-up.

Our main hub is in the Roxborough neighborhood of northwest Philadelphia (zip code 19128). It is hosted at the beautiful Love ‘n Fresh Flowers farm. Detailed directions are sent to buyers once they’ve made a purchase. If you’ve made your first purchase and haven’t seen our confirmation email yet, please check your spam folder or email us directly at info@philadelphiafloralguild.com so we can send you detailed directions and loading procedures in advance of your pick up.

We also have satellite locations in Elmer, NJ and Malvern, PA.

Yes, we do!  We deliver within a 30 mile radius of our Hub.  There is a $250 to $300 order minimum required for delivery, depending on the requested delivery location.  Delivery is to your street level entrance only (driver will not be taking your order inside).  Add delivery to your order at the time of check-out in our online shop

Wholesale customers who have placed an order in advance through our virtual storefront can also shop for additional bunches in-person at our hub on Wednesdays between 9AM and noon and on Fridays from 9AM to 2PM.

We understand that plans change and clients sometimes adjust their needs. PFG allows order changes and cancellations within four hours of placing your order. After that window, all orders are final.

Here’s why: when you purchase flowers, those stems are reserved for you and removed from the inventory available to other customers. Buyers who find a flower sold out or with limited quantities often turn to another farm or supplier to fulfill their needs. If an order is later canceled, returning those flowers to inventory doesn’t necessarily restore the opportunity to sell them—the customers who wanted them may have already made their purchases elsewhere.

Think of it like a wedding florist reserving a date for a couple. Once that date is booked, the florist may turn away other couples seeking the same date. If the original couple later cancels, reopening the date doesn’t bring back the business the florist already declined.

The same principle applies to our growers’ flowers, with the added challenge that fresh flowers have a short window in which they can be sold. Our growers invest months of planning, labor, and care into each crop. A cancellation can leave them with unsold stems and lost income, even when those flowers were in demand when the order was placed.

Our four-hour window gives buyers a chance to catch ordering mistakes while protecting our growers from lost sales. Please confirm quantities and client needs before placing your order.

For your own business, consider including a clear deadline for quantity reductions in your client contracts, with payment commitments that cover flowers you’ve already ordered. This helps set expectations with your clients and protects you from absorbing the cost of last-minute changes.

Thank you for helping us build a dependable marketplace for both local flower farms and the floral businesses they supply.

We are focused on seasonal and sustainably grown stems harvested within a 100-mile radius of Philadelphia. As such, the flowers available through PFG vary widely with the seasons.

In the spring we have anemones, ranunculus, stock, snapdragons, campanula, spirea, fritillaria, narcissus, specialty tulips, hellebores, muscari, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, viburnum, rare peonies, and much more.

In the summer we have lisianthus, hydrangeas, smokebush plumes, garden roses, baptisia, foxglove, phlox, zinnias, alliums, strawflowers, feverfew, queen anne’s lace, basket flower, scabiosa, woodland ferns, yarrow, mountain mint, solomon seal, astilbe, celosia, and much more.

In the fall we have dahlias (especially Café au Laits!), cosmos, amaranth, ninebark, eucalyptus, dusty miller, fruit on the branch, smokebush, antiqued hydrangeas, grasses, seed pods, caryopteris, autumn anemones, solidago, and much more.

We offer stems you won’t find at the traditional wholesaler. One of our niches is unique foliage so you can finally ditch salal and leather leaf at long last!

Visit our What’s In Season gallery to for plenty of floral eye candy. Approved wholesale buyers also receive access to a 100+ page look book to help them plan in advance for an entire season of PFG stems.

PFG reviews grower inquiries on a rolling basis.  We require growers to have at least 3 years of professional flower growing experience, 1 year of experience already selling to florists, at least 1 acre in production, and a commitment to regenerative and sustainable practices.  Those that meet these qualifications are encouraged to email info@philadelphiafloralguild.com.

Exceptions are made to the above for niche crops that most flower growers in our region are not growing.  For example, garden roses or carnivorous plants in quantity. Or any farm with heated greenhouse space for growing flowers in the colder months.

All growers, niche or otherwise, must be able to commit to selling at minimum $10,000 of product through PFG annually.

PFG keeps all communications to email. All orders must be placed through the Rooted Farmers platform.  We do not take orders over the phone or via text.  This policy ensures we get your orders accurate and allows our team to work efficiently.

Please email info@philadelphiafloralguild.com with any additional questions.

Please note that our dedicated admin works Tuesday – Thursday and will reply to emails during that timeframe only; we are a small collective of local farmers, not Amazon.  🙂

We’re excited to serve you!

In case of quality issues with product you pre-ordered from PFG, please email us at info@philadelphiafloralguild.com within 24 hours of receipt of the product. In the email, please include the name and color of the product (i.e., peach zinnias) and the grower.  Also include the number of stems not usable.  Refund requests must include photos.

Once we have reviewed your claim, if deemed eligible, we will issue a refund that will appear on the card you used to make the purchase.  Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to process.

Product purchased in-person at our Wednesday market or from our Friday cooler is not eligible for refunds.  In-person sales are considered final.  Please be sure to check the quality of your selected product at time of purchase.

PLEASE NOTE: PFG is unable to honor any claims made after 24 hours or that do not include the grower name and photo documentation.
