FAQs
PFG is a farmer-owned wholesale floral distribution hub located in Philadelphia. Read more about us over here.
PFG primarily serves floral professionals with wholesale accounts. At this time we are focusing on serving our immediate community of florists who call Philadelphia home. We are connecting with buyers who are located 40 miles or less from our hub in order to build our hyperlocal community first. In the future we plan to expand this circle once we have our systems fine tuned and more growers in the collective.
We also offer DIY flowers to retail customers on a limited basis. Please read the next FAQ below for more details.
Yes! PFG offers DIY flowers to the general public that can be used for any type of party, including a wedding! Flowers must be pre-ordered through our website here. We do NOT have a flower shop to browse at our location. All orders must be made in advance.
PFG uses the Rooted Farmers platform to host our live wholesale availability list so you can see and purchase in real time whenever it is convenient for you. Please click here to read full directions on how to shop with us.
PFG is a distribution hub and a virtual storefront.
The virtual storefront is open 24/7.
The distribution hub is currently open Wednesdays from 10:30AM – 2:30PM.
Please note that hours are subject to change, particularly in the shoulder season (March/April and October/November) when product availability is limited.
We update our virtual storefront with availability on Tuesdays, opening for VIP sales at 7PM for the following week’s orders. Other wholesale buyers can place orders any time between 9AM on Wednesday the week before to 7PM on Monday for Wednesday pick-up or delivery.
We post our availability week by week so that we can ensure we’ll get your order filled accurately. We do not take orders more than 8 days in advance of pick-up.
Yes, we do! We deliver within a 15 mile radius of our Hub. A $250 order minimum is required for delivery. Delivery is to your street level entrance only (driver will not be taking your order inside). Add delivery to your order at the time of check-out in our online shop.
Wholesale customers who have placed an order in advance through our virtual storefront can also shop for additional bunches in-person at our hub on Wednesdays between 10AM and noon.
When you place an order with us, we assume you have had discussions with your customers about cancellations, and that you have taken steps to protect your business through contracts, deposits, insurance, etc. PFG is willing to honor cancellations/changes as long as they are received within 4 hours of placing your order. After 4 hours, all orders are considered final. To make changes to your order, please email info@philadelphiafloralguild.com.
We are focused on seasonal and sustainably grown stems harvested within a 100-mile radius of Philadelphia. As such, the flowers available through PFG vary widely with the seasons.
In the spring we have anemones, ranunculus, stock, snapdragons, campanula, spirea, fritillaria, narcissus, specialty tulips, hellebores, muscari, bleeding hearts, lily of the valley, viburnum, rare peonies, and much more.
In the summer we have lisianthus, hydrangeas, smokebush plumes, garden roses, baptisia, foxglove, phlox, zinnias, alliums, strawflowers, feverfew, queen anne’s lace, basket flower, scabiosa, woodland ferns, yarrow, mountain mint, solomon seal, astilbe, celosia, and much more.
In the fall we have dahlias (especially Café au Laits!), cosmos, amaranth, ninebark, eucalyptus, dusty miller, fruit on the branch, smokebush, antiqued hydrangeas, grasses, seed pods, caryopteris, autumn anemones, solidago, and much more.
We offer stems you won’t find at the traditional wholesaler. One of our niches is unique foliage so you can finally ditch salal and leather leaf at long last!
Visit our What’s In Season gallery to for plenty of floral eye candy. Approved wholesale buyers also receive access to a 100+ page look book to help them plan in advance for an entire season of PFG stems.
PFG reviews grower inquiries on a rolling basis. We require growers to have at least 3 years of professional flower growing experience, 1 year of experience already selling to florists, at least 1 acre in production, and a commitment to regenerative and sustainable practices. Those that meet these qualifications are encouraged to email info@philadelphiafloralguild.com.
Exceptions are made to the above for niche crops that most flower growers in our region are not growing. For example, garden roses in quantity. All growers, niche or otherwise, must be able to commit to selling at minimum $10,000 of product through PFG annually.
PFG keeps all communications to email. All orders must be placed through the Rooted Farmers platform. We do not take orders over the phone or via text. This policy ensures we get your orders accurate and allows our team to work efficiently.
Please email info@philadelphiafloralguild.com with any additional questions.
Please note that our dedicated admin works Tuesday – Thursday and will reply to emails during that timeframe only; we are a small collective of local farmers, not Amazon. 🙂
We’re excited to serve you!
