Not when it’s in your own backyard!
Did you hear about the trucker strike in Columbia this past week? It stopped Columbian flowers from getting to the airport in Bogotá to fly over to Miami to go into the U.S. supply chain, delaying shipments and tripping up orders all the way up here in Philadelphia. Columbia, by far, produces the majority of floral imports for the U.S. This isn’t the first time Columbia’s frequent political and economic upheaval has disrupted the floral supply chain.
But when your supply chain is right in your own backyard, you don’t have to worry about all of that! No planes or foreign turbulence to trip things up here at PFG. Your flowers will arrive right on time as promised. Yet another big benefit of buying local: there are far few miles and steps in the chain so a lot less chance for it to get broken!
